Mets 4, Cubs 2: Adbert Alzolay gives up yet another home run

Unfortunately, Adbert Alzolay is out of options.

I say that because today’s hot take is that Alzolay might benefit by having some time at Triple-A Iowa to figure out why he’s serving up home runs at an alarming rate. Tuesday, it was a three-run jack by DJ Stewart that was the difference in a 4-2 Mets win over the Cubs. It was the fifth home run allowed by Alzolay in just 12u2154 innings this year — the same number he allowed in 64 innings last year.

It wasn’t just Alzolay, though. Some bad defense helped lead to both the Mets’ scoring innings.
