TAMPA (April 30, 2024) – Bobby Boser (Wesley Chapel) and Jackson Mayo (St. Johns) connected on back-to-back homers in the fifth inning Tuesday night, but that was all the offense could muster for the University of South Florida Bulls (22-22) in a 5-2 loss to Stetson University Hatters (29-16) at USF Baseball Stadium.
It was Boser's first home run since launching a pair on March 8 against North Carolina A&T. Boser was injured on March 9 and proceeded to miss 22 games until returning to the lineup full-time on April 19. Boser hit five home runs in a three-game stretch prior to being injured.
